David Blyth is a Director and Principal Consultant with BCW Carbon and Energy and has over twenty years’ experience in the assessment, design and implementation of energy, greenhouse and environmental management programs. His experience spans a number of industry sectors including steel, petro-chemical, commercial buildings, mining, health, food and beverage, manufacturing, utilities, transport and government.

 

His experience includes the conduct of energy and environmental audits, energy management reviews and energy and greenhouse management action plans.

 

David was responsible for the preparation of the Energy Savings Actions Plans (ESAP) for MolyCop Waratah (formerly Smorgon Steel), Sara Lee Bakery and Koppers Carbon Materials and Chemicals. These reports all included Level 2 Review of Energy Assessments and Action Plans.

 

David was the Partner Support Manager under the Energy Smart Business Program for Sara Lee Bakery, CSR Building Materials, Coal and Allied, NSW Sugar and Northern Coop Meats.

 

Example projects include:

  • Energy Management Program Delivery. Assistance with the implementation of the MolyCop, Koppers Carbon Materials and Chemicals and the Sara Lee Bakery Energy Management Program.
  • Energy Efficiency Opportunities (EEO). Development of the EEO Assessment Plan for Svitzer Australasia.

 

  • Sustainability Program Delivery. Assistance with the implementation of the ANZ Property Sustainability Program May to December 2007

 

  • Energy and Greenhouse Assessments. CEMEX Lynwood Quarry, Anvil Hill Project, Kooragang Coal Terminal Project (Port Waratah Coal Services), Mt Arthur Coal South Pit expansion project, Mt Arthur Coal underground project and Manildra.

 

  • Greenhouse Gas Expert Witness.  Ulan Coal Project Land and Environment Court Challenge.

 

  • National Greenhouse and Energy Reporting System (NGERS). Assistance with the Audit and preparation of Audit Report for Port Waratah Coal Service, 2008

 

  • Energy Audit. Level 2 Energy Audits for Kingscliff TAFE, ORIX Australia, Wyong Shire Council Offices, Toronto Private Hospital, Department of Minerals – Singleton Office, IP Australia Office – ACT.
